In St. Petersburg, a passenger bus fell into the Moika River near the Potseluev Bridge.
According to eyewitnesses, this happened immediately after a car accident: the bus collided with two cars, broke through the barrier, and then fell into the water.
According to the St. Petersburg Transport Committee, the bus was driven by a driver from the "Taxi" LLC. The company oversees several routes in the city center of federal significance.
Immediately after the incident, it was reported that there could have been about 20 people on the bus. Later, this information was confirmed by law enforcement agencies.
Rescuers are working at the scene of the incident. As of now, it is known that six people have died, according to "Fontanka".
Residents and eyewitnesses have been posting videos on social media showing unconscious people being lifted from the water. They are being transported to the shore on boats.
Emergency services are being assisted by concerned citizens.

Later, the situation was commented on by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov.
"In connection with the accident on the embankment of the Moika River involving a bus: employees of the Emergencies Ministry, city administration, ambulance services, and employees of the health committee are working at the scene," he wrote in his telegram channel. - I am personally coordinating the activities."
Recall that in the regional center on Maklakov Street, an old car caught fire. Eyewitnesses of the incident reported this.
